Every garden bed and elevated planter we sell — one set of plans. These are the exact designs our 37-builder network builds to order, written up as a 28-page illustrated PDF you can build from yourself, with standard cedar fence pickets from any home store.

What you get:

• All 11 builds: nine ground beds — 2x4, 3x3, 4x4, 3x6 and 4x6 at 11 in. tall, plus 3x3, 4x4, 3x6 and 4x6 at 16-1/2 in. — and two elevated planters on legs: the 48 x 16 in. trough and the 20 in. square.
• A cut list for every size: every part, quantity and exact cut length, plus how many pickets to buy — including the count with the floor option — with a spare picket figured in so you never run short.
• The floor option: ground beds are open-bottom as standard; the same cut lists include the fitted floor (parts H and I) for standing a bed on a patio or deck.
• The wheels option: how to mount casters on the elevated planters — plate on the outside of the leg, fastened through, hardware hidden — so a planter can roll.
• Materials and tools lists up front, so you can price the whole build before you cut anything.
• The build system, explained: stacked picket courses with every course a single piece, wide legs on the outside of every corner, full-height course braces, and the wide mitered top trim that finishes every piece.
• Eight build steps with diagrams — the same steps for every size, so once you've built one, you've built them all.
