Southern Utah knows how to throw an outdoor event. With red rock views, Zion National Park in the backyard, and wedding venues scattered from Hurricane to St. George, there is no shortage of celebrations — or of folding tables being used as bars. Our portable event bar is the upgrade. It is a full-size, handcrafted bar that stands 41 inches tall, like a standard bar counter, and gives your event a finished centerpiece instead of a table with a cloth thrown over it.

The bar is built from MDF panels over an internal frame, with an interior shelf behind the counter to keep bottles, glassware, and tools out of sight. The design comes completely apart into five flat pieces on lift-away hinges. No tools are needed, and there is no hardware to drop in the dirt. At the end of the night it packs flat, fits in most SUVs and truck beds, and stores against a garage wall. You can see dimensions and finish choices on the 5-foot portable collapsible event bar product page. The pieces can be carried one at a time, which helps on uneven ground and stairs, and once assembled the bar is steady even with a crowd gathered around it.

Two sizes are offered. The 5-foot bar is $800 painted white or black, or $700 raw and ready to finish yourself. Prefer a hands-on project? Our step-by-step bar build plans cover the same lift-away-hinge design for personal builds. The 6-foot bar is $950 painted and $850 raw. Every unit is made to order. Mobile bartenders in the St. George area use them for weddings and private events, and hosts buy them for backyard parties, reunions, and holiday gatherings where a real bar makes the whole setup feel more put together. Painted finishes touch up easily, so the bar keeps looking sharp season after season.

If you order in the Hurricane area, your bar is built by a local craftsman in The Wobbly Carpenter network, working out of his own shop nearby. More about how that works is on our Hurricane builder profile page. Built by a local craftsman in The Wobbly Carpenter network. Every builder signs our craftsman agreement, and insurance and background check are verified before their first build. Having the bar built locally means you skip the cost and hassle of shipping furniture across the country, and your money stays with a craftsman in Washington County.

Pickup is free once your bar is finished, and delivery is available within 40 miles of the builder's shop — which reaches Hurricane, La Verkin, Washington, and much of the St. George area. Since each bar is made to order, ordering a few weeks ahead of your event is a good idea. You order through thewobblycarpenter.com: choose a size and finish, check out, and the checkout confirms that your delivery address is within range before your order is placed.
