Outdoor events are a way of life around Coarsegold. Between ranch weddings, mountain-view ceremonies on the way toward Yosemite, and backyard parties all summer long, there is always something being celebrated — and the drink setup is usually a folding table that somebody apologizes for. Our portable event bar is a better answer. It is a full-size handcrafted bar, 41 inches tall at standard bar height, that looks like real furniture in your photos and takes the place of that rented table for good.

The bar is built from MDF panels over a solid internal frame, with an interior shelf behind the counter for bottles, mixers, and glassware. What makes it different is how it comes apart. The whole bar separates into five flat pieces using lift-away hinges — no tools, no loose hardware, nothing to lose in the grass. When the event ends, it packs flat and fits in most SUVs and truck beds, and it stores in a fraction of the space a fixed bar would take. Full dimensions and finish options are on the handcrafted 5-foot event bar product page.

You have two sizes to choose from. The 5-foot bar is $800 painted white or black, or $700 in raw MDF if you want to paint it yourself. If you enjoy projects like this, the wider version is also sold as 6-foot DIY build plans for personal use. The 6-foot version runs $950 painted and $850 raw. Each one is made to order rather than mass-produced, and the painted finish is easy to touch up over time if it gets scuffed at an event. Mobile bartenders working the foothills and valley use them at weddings and private parties, and more than a few hosts in the area have bought one simply because they entertain often enough to justify it.

Bars ordered in the Coarsegold area are built by a local craftsman in The Wobbly Carpenter network, in his own shop right here in the community. You can learn more on our Coarsegold builder profile page. Built by a local craftsman in The Wobbly Carpenter network. Every builder signs our craftsman agreement, and insurance and background check are verified before their first build. Buying locally built means no freight shipping on a big piece of furniture, and your bar supports a working craftsman in the foothills instead of a warehouse somewhere.

When your bar is ready, pickup at the shop is free, and delivery is available anywhere within 40 miles of the builder's shop — covering Coarsegold and nearby communities like Oakhurst and the surrounding foothill area. Because every bar is made to order, it is smart to order ahead of your event rather than the week before. Ordering is done through thewobblycarpenter.com: pick your size and finish, check out, and the checkout confirms your delivery address is within range before the order goes through. If you are planning an event somewhere else, browse our other service areas and delivery locations to see where the network builds today. For mountain weddings and ranch parties, a bar that sets up in minutes and stores flat in the garage is hard to beat. In Southern California, the same bar is built around Menifee; out toward Zion, see our Hurricane, Utah page.
