Builder Paperwork Upload
Submit everything at once — photos of your work and your signed paperwork together.
What to upload
- Signed Craftsman Agreement — PDF (every page, signed and dated)
- Completed IRS Form W-9 — filled out and signed
- Short bio — a few lines about you and your experience (you can type this in the upload form)
- Profile photo — a clear photo of you for your builder profile
- Shop city and ZIP — if you haven't sent these yet (type them in the upload form)
Need the packet first?
The packet has everything you need — Craftsman Agreement, IRS Form W-9, and Builder Checklist. Download it here:
Only two documents come back signed: the Craftsman Agreement and the W-9. The Builder Checklist is yours to keep.
Fill it out, sign it, then come back to this page and upload it below.
How to fill out your W-9
- Line 1 — your legal name exactly as it appears on your tax return (individuals: your personal name, not your business name).
- Line 2 — business/DBA name if you have one (otherwise leave blank).
- Box 3a — check ONE box — most individual builders check "Individual/sole proprietor." (Check LLC only if you are an LLC; follow the IRS instruction for the LLC classification letter.)
- Lines 5–6 — your mailing address.
- Part I (TIN) — SSN if you file as an individual/sole proprietor; EIN only if that's how you file — use the name/TIN the IRS has on file.
- Part II — sign and date — an unsigned W-9 can't be accepted.
Before you submit, complete this checklist:
- Work photos — up to 4 photos of your own woodworking/furniture work (photos must be your own projects; no more than 4)
- Signed Craftsman Agreement — every page included, with the signature page signed and dated (unsigned or missing pages can't be accepted)
- Completed IRS Form W-9 — signed and dated, with one box checked in 3a and the name/TIN matching how you file (see "How to fill out your W-9" below)
- Profile photo — a clear photo of you (not a logo or a shop sign)
- Short bio — a few sentences about your experience (needed for your builder profile)
- Your shop city and ZIP code
- Auto insurance (proof due at your first order) — at least $1,000,000 liability that covers delivery driving: a commercial auto policy, or a personal policy with a business-use/delivery endorsement. A personal policy that excludes business/delivery driving does not count.
- General liability + workers' comp (proof due at your first order) — general liability coverage, and workers' comp coverage if you have helpers. If you work alone with no employees, sign the packet's sole-proprietor workers' comp declination instead.
First-order note: when your first order comes in, we'll need your insurance certificates (COI and any additional-insured endorsement) before work starts.
Background check and insurance are verified before your first build.
Please complete the checklist before submitting — incomplete submissions will not be accepted.

Stay safe
Only upload your paperwork through this page on thewobblycarpenter.com. We will never ask for your password, bank login, or a fee to join, and we'll never ask you to text or message us your Social Security number. If a message asking for those things claims to be from us, don't reply — email us at thewobblycarpenter@gmail.com so we can check it.
Your privacy
Your uploads are private. They are not posted on this website or shared publicly, and we don't sell your information.
