The Coffee Cart That Folds Flat: A Collapsible Bar for Mobile Coffee, Matcha & Tea
Share
If you're starting a mobile coffee business, your cart is your whole storefront. It has to hold your machine, look professional, get to the event, and get out of your way when the event is over. That's the problem our collapsible bar was built to solve — which is why so many coffee, matcha, and tea sellers end up running their whole setup on one.
A Bar Is Already Built Like a Coffee Cart
A coffee setup needs a real counter, and that's what a bar is. The counter sits at standard bar height — 41 inches — a comfortable working height for pulling shots, steaming milk, and whisking matcha. The flat top fits an espresso machine and grinder side by side, with room left for a pour-over station or a tea urn. Everything else — beans, cups, lids, syrups, matcha tins — lives on the interior shelf, out of sight and within reach.
Pick white or black for a clean, finished look, or raw MDF if you want to paint it in your own brand colors.
Why Collapsible Beats a Fixed Cart
Most coffee carts are built like furniture: heavy, awkward, and permanent. Moving one usually means a trailer, a second pair of hands, and storage space you pay for all month.
This design comes apart into five flat pieces on lift-away hinges. One person can load it into an SUV, a hatchback, or a truck bed. It sets up and breaks down with no tools. Between events it stores flat against a wall — in a garage, not a storage unit. Run weddings and markets all weekend, and on Monday it's out of your way.
5 Feet or 6 Feet?
The 5-foot bar fits one person working a machine and grinder — the right size for farmers markets, small events, and getting started. It's $800 painted or $700 in raw MDF.
The 6-foot bar gives you the wider counter: two people working side by side, or a second station for pour-over, matcha, or tea next to the espresso machine. It's $950 painted or $850 raw.
Both are handmade to order by a local craftsman in our builder network, built from 3/8-inch MDF on the same plans and measurements as every bar we sell, and both carry a 30-day limited structural warranty.
The Honest Business Math
There's no franchise fee and no revenue share. You buy the cart, and it's yours. Every bar is made to order, so plan on a 1–2 week build before your first booked event. Pickup is free, or your local builder delivers it: $75 within 40 miles, $150 to 80 miles, $250 to 130 miles, and $395 to 200 miles.
Rather Build Your Own?
If you have a shop and you'd rather build it yourself, the same design comes as build plans — 5-foot and 6-foot versions with dimensioned drawings, step-by-step instructions, and cut layouts. It's the same collapsible design our builders use, in your hands instead.
However you serve — espresso, matcha, tea, or a full bar — the cart shouldn't be the hard part. This one folds flat.
